In order to be ideally prepared for your studies at the Augsburg Technical University of Applied Sciences, its faculties offer the so-called „Startklar“ program.

Following courses are offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering:

• preparatory course mathematics in engineering (Monday, 22nd September till Friday 26th September 2025, each day from 8.30am till 4.00pm)
• introduction to studying, with the project „Vom Widerstand zum Roboter“ (from resistor to robot) (Wednesday, 24th September till Friday 26th September, each day from 9am till 4pm)
• Time and self-management (Monday, 29th September 2025 from 9am till 4pm)

Please note: The preparatory course and the introduction to studying are taking place simultaneously. Please only sign up for one of the two courses.

Beginning students are welcome to also participate in the program of the Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering, as long as no students from their courses of studies are on the waiting list. In this case, the registration would have to be revoked.

On this day central introductory events will take place for all first semester students in the bachelor's and master’s programs as well as in the orientation studies program.

Our student association WiZ offers an orientation program following the university-wide introductory events for all first semester students at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

The Didaktik-Medien-Zentrum (DMZ) offers several introductory courses in digital study tools:

On Wednesday, 8th October 2025 all first semester students of our Bachelor programs Electrical Engineering and Information Technology as well as Mechatronics are welcome to visit us from 14:00 - 17:00 in room A 3.10 for the following onboarding event:
