The "Grundlagen- und Orientierungsprüfung" (basic and orientation examination, GOP) can consist of several modules that teach the basics of a degree program. All examinations belonging to those modules have to be taken at least once before the end of the 2nd semester. Otherwise, you will receive a grade 5 for missing the deadline.
