Application and Arrival
Application:
Required student exchange documents which have to be uploaded or confirmed in our Online Application System:
1. Online Application Form
Please fill in the online application form (for EPS: this online application form) in Mobility-Online and click "send application" when you have finished completing all your details. Print your application form and check to make sure that everything is correct before uploading it. The details you have provided will appear on all your student documents upon your arrival. Your personal email address is inevitable to make all future correspondence run smoothly. Please upload all required documents in Mobility-Online. Do not send any hard copies by post. When you have successfully uploaded all your documents, the THA will process your application and a decision regarding your acceptance for an exchange study period at our institution will be made.
The deadline for uploading your documents is the 15th November / 15th May. Incomplete applications will be rejected after this date.
2. Passport/identity photo
- No stamps and marks
- Max. 500 × 500 pixels
3. Learning Agreement
a) European Exchange Students use the ERASMUS+-Form of their home institution
b) Non-European Students use:
Please name your International Faculty Coordinator as contact person at THA. The IFC will also sign your Learning Agreement, once you're confirmed.
4. CV in English or German
Please include your English and/ or German level.
Students of the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Architecture should also include a link to their portfolio.
5. Transcript of records
A brief overview of your academic achievements completed prior to your stay in Augsburg.
6. Copy of your national ID-card or passport (both sides), as well as residence permit (if necessary)
7. Valid health insurance
European students require the European Health Insurance Card, EHIC. Non european students are required to acquire a German health insurance upon arrival.
If you do not have a valid EHIC card, please upload a signed letter with the following declaration:
„I herebly declare that I do not have a european health insurance (EHIC) card. I assure that I will apply for a valid german health insurance upon my arrival."
Additional Information:
Visa
Students with NON-EU nationalities studying at a partner university outside Europe need to apply for a visa at the German embassy or consulate in order to study in Augsburg. Please inform yourself in good time, which visa you need and how you can apply for it. Please note, that you must apply as early as possible to receive your visa in time.

Welcome and Orientation Week
As a new international student, you will be welcomed by the university management, university staff and students. You will also receive important information for orientation and for starting your studies. You will receive an invitation to the Welcome Week, including further information, by email before the start of your studies. Please note that participation is mandatory.
