The Funkenwerk LAB offers students with business projects, as well as our incubator teams, space to bring their ideas to life and is the ideal place to work, network, support one another, and exchange ideas.
Startup Synergies in the Heart of Swabia
Thanks to our lab’s prestigious location at the Digital Center Swabia (DZ.S), students interested in starting a business are situated right next to university startup teams that have already spun off—because the DZ.S is the hub for entrepreneurship, digitalization, and networking in Swabia and offers office space for young startup teams from the local scene. This close collaboration gives rise to exciting and successful startup stories. Be a part of it!

Soundproof and well-ventilated, Funkenwerk’s Spaceboxes are a retreat for focused work, phone calls, Zoom meetings, and taking a deep breath.
An oasis of calm to unwind, a lightning rod for flashes of inspiration, or a space for brilliant ideas.

Building M: on the ground floor in front of Room M1.01, a booth for 2 people, with a standing table and 2 ergonomic stools, lighting, a power outlet, ventilation, and Wi-Fi.
Brunnenlech Campus:
Building B: on the 1st floor in front of B2.14, large booth for up to 4 people, seating, lighting, table, power outlet, ventilation, Wi-Fi.
Building C: on the ground floor, Old Cafeteria, booth for 1 person, with a bar table, built-in seating, lighting, electrical outlet, ventilation, and Wi-Fi.

In addition to your lectures, seminars, and study groups, you now have the chance to unwind in a fun way. With the Funkenwerk table tennis tables, you can play intense matches during breaks and add a little variety and exercise to your everyday campus life!
Whether you want to let your competitive spirit run wild, make new friends, or just clear your head, the ping-pong tables offer the perfect place to have fun together—and maybe even come up with some inspiring ideas.
Wondering how you can get in on all the action-packed fun? It’s easy!
You can organize spontaneous matches anywhere on campus or set up a time for a longer game. The tables are portable, so they can be rolled anywhere. That way, you can even find a shady spot on hot days.

5 ping-pong tables When the weather is nice, 2 tables are set up in the metal crate in front of the Computer Science Department (staircase leading to the underground parking garage). The crate is accessible to everyone with a Campus Card. Or pick up a key at the Funkenwerk office (J1.08) to access the other tables. Rackets & balls | 5 table tennis tables With your Campus Card, you can easily access the gray garage behind Building D. There, you can pick up the tables on your own!
