The information systems discipline integrates computer science and business administration in an (1) subject and is one of the most important disciplines of the 21st century. Everyday life worldwide and our working world have been transformed by computers and especially by the internet. This is why IT specialists have the best career (2) not only in the field of computer science and information technology but also in (3). In order to meet the requirements of global coporations and customers worldwide, these specialists must possess not only specialist knowledge of information systems but also distinctive (4) skills. In view of a general shortage of computer scientists and IT specialists, the global career opportunities for business IT specialists are also very good in the (5).

Paragraph 2:
Within the information systems discipline, companies need employees who can, for example, program applications to support business (6), plan and implement large (7) IT projects, or consult executives in information process issues. In a global world, these (8) must also be able to act with linguistic and (9) confidence. The (10) of an international business information specialist is complex and differentiated.

Part 2):
Knowledge of study plan
Task:

Paragraph 1:
The two-semester (1) program imparts basic knowledge in the fields of information systems. In the context of computer science, the focus is on programming & software engineering. The subjects introduction to business administration, financial accounting and intercultural management and law open the field of how business and enterprises work. In addition to former mentioned subjects, (2) and languages are studied in greater depth. Students choose a general science (3) subject (counts two credit points) according to the (4) of the faculty of liberal arts and sciences.

Paragraph 2:
From the third semester onwards, the intensification (5) begins. There you have a closer look at statistics, database systems, data (6), E-business, implementation and programming of enterprise systems. Additionally, international IT project and service management are studied and you will do a project work. The (7) semester is the internship semester where students acquire know-how in IT projects in companies. Students also take part in the practical seminar. Cost accounting, controlling and financial management, applied artificial intelligence, business modeling, production and logistics, as well as the seminar "new technologies" are the focus in the final semesters.

Paragraph 3:
The degree program is generally taught in English. As (8) students improve their German in semesters 1-4, German-language modules can be selected in higher semesters. International students learn German, German-speaking students learn a second foreign language offered by the university`s language center. During the study program, elective subjects give students the opportunity to choose modules that (9) to their inclinations and later career aspirations. The range of courses is adapted to current requirements by the faculty. During their studies, students have to take different compulsory (10) subjects according to the catalogue of the faculty of computer science. The degree program concludes with the bachelor`s thesis and the associated bachelor`s seminar.
