Residential complexes and parent-child apartments

 

The Augsburg Student Union provides six student residences with over 1,800 spaces throughout the city of Augsburg. Two of these offer special housing units for students with children:

  • Residential complex in the Prinz-Karl-Viertel: 3 parent-child apartments, each with 67 square meters
  • Residential complex in Bürgermeister-Ulrich-Straße: 3 parent-child apartments, each with 57 square meters

Applications for an apartment from pregnant women or students with children are considered hardship cases and will be given preferential treatment.

Further regulations:

  • Only one parent needs to be enrolled.
  • The non-student’s income may not exceed the BAföG maximum rate.
  • There is no age limit for the child.

Apartment search

 

Students with children or pregnant students should apply for a place in a dormitory, noting their special circumstances, as their situation is considered a hardship case and they may therefore be given priority.

Some of the six student housing facilities operated by the Augsburg Student Services Association offer parent-child apartments as well as two-bedroom apartments for young couples and parents.
