Teaching Award 2024


Successful education requires commitment, creativity and motivation, not only from students, but from the teaching staff as well. The University of Applied Sciences Augsburg wants to make outstanding teaching visible and thus also support the discussion and reflection on innovative teaching.

Nomination of the teaching staff

Online nomination of the „Teaching-Champions“ 02.05.2024 – 07.06.2024

Important: The award winners of the last two years can’t receive the Teaching Awards 2024 (the last winners were: Prof. Dr. Sabine Joeris and Alisa Kasle-Henke M.A.)

Viewing of the nominations

The nominations are prepared for the jury independant of the faculties by staff of the course development department and the Didactics-Media-Center. The number of nominations for the teaching award is taken into account (so every vote counts!) in addition the quality of the nominations is important, too. (until the end of september)

Decision about the awarding of prizes

A jury made up of the student faculty councillors, the Vice President for Studies and Teaching, the Head of the Didactics Media Center and the spokesperson of the Deans of Studies will receive a short list for each award with those nominees who were nominated most often and with the best reasons. The jury will consider the short lists and select the winners. (by mid October)

Teaching Awards

The awards will be presented on the Day of Teaching 2024.
