Opening hours of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg Library

On this page, you will find all the opening hours for the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg Library, including staffed core hours, extended self-service hours with the Campus Card Augsburg, and the special opening hours for the Augsburg University Library during exam periods and semester breaks.

Staffed core opening hours

During the library's core staffed hours, the full range of library services is available to you (information, registration, technical devices check-out, fee payment, etc.)

Extended hours (self-service) with CCA

With the Campus Card Augsburg (CCA), you can also use the THA library early in the morning, in the evening, and on Saturdays (self-service).

Information on self-service hours

  • You can access the library with the Campus Card Augsburg.
  • You can check out and return books at these times using the self-service desks.
  • THA members can use the library’s computers with their IT account.
  • In the evenings and on Saturdays, the library is open under the supervision of an external service provider.

The following services are not available during self-service hours:

  • Registration of guest readers and members of the University of Augsburg
  • Library inquiries
  • Pickup of reserved materials and interlibrary loans
  • Checking out and returning technical devices
  • Payment of fees
  • Use of PCs by non-THA members

Opening hours during semester breaks

During the semester breaks (Feb./Mar. and Aug./Sept.), the staffed core hours apply.
The extended self-service hours are not available.

Additional Sunday opening hours during exam period (self-service)

During exam periods, the library offers additional Sunday opening hours to help students prepare for exams. Access is available only with an Campus Card Augsburg, and the service is self-service.

The exact dates in January and July will be announced here in a timely manner.

Closed on public holidays

The library is closed on all Bavarian statutory holidays.

On these days, access via the CCA is also not possible.
