What language certificate do I need to study at Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg?
Do you have a foreign school-leaving qualification (university entrance qualification) and would like to study in Germany? Then you must provide proof of your German language skills before starting your studies. You can find a list of recognized German examinations at our university here.
We offer preparatory courses at level B2/C1, which will prepare you for studying in Germany in one semester with intensive German training and TestDaF preparation.

How to apply for the course
Course start: 23. 03.2026
End of course: 9.07.2026
Final exam: 9.07.2026
Course fee: 1850 € the price includes: the course fee, the student union fee (swa card for the whole semester), all course books and the TestDaF exam fee.

Required documents (as a scan):
- Proof of German language skills at level B1
- Proof of your university entrance qualification according to uniassist.de
- Copy of your identity card and health insurance
Note for refugees:
Unfortunately, there will be no more free places for refugees.
Information about the course
Levels
Entry requirement:
- German language skills at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Goal:
- TestDaF level 3, DSH level
- TestDaF level 4, DSH level 2 or 3
- Final exam: in both courses TestDaF exam at ZSI
Course Content:
- Intensive training in German as a foreign language
- Preparation for the TestDaF exam
- Intercultural training "Studying in Germany"
Scope of the course:
- 22 lessons x 15 weeks
- Individual support and preparation for studying in Germany
Course duration
Summer semester: March to June
Winter semester: October to February
Dates depend on the respective TestDaF examination dates.
