Course Overview
Tired of watching audiences zone out during yet another lifeless PowerPoint presentation? This course goes beyond English—it’s about mastering communication that actually works. You’ll learn to present powerful ideas, negotiate strategically, and lead professional meetings—skills that will make you more persuasive, confident, and effective in any workplace. Language is just the tool; communication is the skill.

What You’ll Do:

1. Convincing Presentations:

  • Rethink everything you thought you knew about presentations.
  • Learn three core principles to make people listen, not just understand.
  • Prepare in coaching groups, present to the whole class, and reflect on your performance with feedback from peers and instructors.
  • Pick your own topic - something you truly care about persuading others to do (or not do).

2. Strategic Negotiation – The Harvard Method:

  • Transform conflicts into opportunities using intelligence, strategy, and listening.
  • Learn the theory of the Harvard Method and put it into practice with hands-on role plays.
  • Gain tools you can use immediately in any workplace scenario.

3. Final Meeting Pitch Competition – Your Big Moment:

  • Step into the shoes of a start-up founder: in teams, you’ll design a 2-page Canva flyer, record a 7-minute pitch video, and prepare to convince real “investors.”
  • Go live in a high-energy session where classmates play investors for your pitch—and you evaluate theirs.
  • This is your chance to practice persuasion, teamwork, and real-world business communication in a dynamic, competitive setting.
  • By the end, you’ll know what it takes to capture attention, win trust, and make your ideas irresistible.

Grading (Final Grade Composition):

  • Presentations: 20%
  • Reflection / Self-Assessment: 10%
