Service for female students
The mentoring program is offered university-wide for all faculties. It is part of BayernMentoring and represents the junior level of the program. Participation is free of charge.
Dear first semester students,
Welcome to our university!
You may be asking yourself: “Where should I go?”, “Where can I find what?”, “Who can I ask?” Our JuniorMentoring program is there to make your start as easy as possible.
A JuniorMentor (a student in a higher semester from your faculty) will support you for one semester. She will help you with questions about the Campus Card, registering at the computer center and study management or even preparing for exams.
JuniorMentoring is part of the BayernMentoring program, which offers numerous seminars and activities. Your participation gives you access to these free offers.

JuniorMentoring - The mentoring program for our first semester students
JuniorMentoring- What is it?
Our JuniorMentoring is part of the BayernMentoring program. The first semester student is supported by a student from a higher semester (at least 3 semesters), the JuniorMentor, during the first weeks and months at Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg. The JuniorMentor should pass on her experience, knowledge, tips and advice to the JuniorMentee and make it easier for her to get started with her studies and life in general.
Procedure
When does the mentoring program start?
JuniorMentoring always starts in the winter semester. There is a kick-off event at the beginning of each semester at which the tandems are formed. (See below for dates!)
Time commitment
The time commitment should not exceed 4 hours per month. But of course it depends on what a tandem wants to do together.
Duration
The Mentorship can last as long as you like; the plan is for a cycle of one semester.
Evaluation
At the end of each cycle, we would like to know whether the program has helped. And of particular interest are suggestions for improvement. For example, is there any subject in the faculty that many people stumble across? Or is there anything else we can do to support you?

You can register from July. Registration deadline: Wed : 08.10.2025

Certificate for the JuniorMentors (mentors)
On request, the JuniorMentors receive a certificate (social competence) for their participation in the BayernMentoring program. Please contact us!
