Legal standards and examination office

Examinations at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg are comprehensively regulated by the General Examination Regulations of Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg (APO) and the study and examination regulations for your respective degree program. Knowledge of the applicable legal norms is a prerequisite. You can access the current versions on the website of the Examinations Office or on the overview page of our degree programs.
If you have any questions, please contact the Examinations Office during office hours.

Performance records and examinations

  • Grade recognition
  • European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)

The current study plans and information on all credits can be found on the pages of the respective degree program.

If you have any questions, please contact your academic advisor or the PK chairperson directly.

The current exam schedule can be found under Dates.

Exam registration

You must register online for all exams you wish to take (deadline approx. 1 month after the start of the semester). Only then will you appear on the list of participants/signatures at the time of the exam. If you are not registered, the examiner must refuse you participation in the exam. You may only participate in exceptional cases if you can prove that there has been an administrative error (proof must be provided by presenting a registration receipt from the online system).

  • Exam registration

To register for examinations for subjects from another degree program, please complete the “Application for examination registration for subjects from another degree program”. The application form and further information can be found on the pages of the Examinations Office - Exceptions to online registration.
Please remember to have the grade recognized by your faculty after the examination. This does not happen automatically!

For general science elective subjects (AWP subjects), exam registration takes place automatically when you enroll for the respective subject. No separate registration is therefore required.

Examination deadlines and maximum duration of study

If you are unable to meet an exam deadline for reasons beyond your control (e.g. due to illness), you have the option of applying for an extension of the exam deadline. You must then explain the reasons for your absence, and the PK may grant an extension of one semester. The same applies if you exceed the maximum duration of study (Bachelor: 9 semesters; Master: 5 semesters).
