Training offer: University teaching methods for doctoral candidates

Dear doctoral candidates,

On Febuary 12, 2026 (8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) and February 13, 2026 (1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.), the THA Graduate School is offering a two-day seminar on the topic of “University teaching methods for doctoral candidates” in English. There will be a self-study phase between the two dates. Your lecturer will be Professor Martina Königbauer.

We cordially invite you to register. Participation is free of charge.

For doctoral candidates in the structured doctoral program of one of the doctoral centers, attendance at this seminar covers the mandatory participation in the academic qualification course on the topic of university teaching methods. The seminar will be offered regularly during the winter semester.

Seminar description

In this seminar, participants are actively involved and learn about didactic elements through their own application. You will also receive many practical tips that you can immediately implement in your courses. You will reflect on your role as a teacher, formulate learning objectives, exchange ideas on topics related to teaching, and discuss the possibilities of digitization in teaching.
