Project description

When new employees, especially in rapidly growing companies, start their journey, a good onboarding process is the key to fostering a positive company culture and ensuring long-term employee retention. However, due to advancing digitization and increasing complexity in projects and changes in work dynamics overall, a good onboarding process has become extremely complex today.

A simple checklist alone is no longer sufficient because it only addresses the structural-functional aspects for the employee. A good onboarding process requires picking up new team members, especially regarding soft topics such as values, feeling supported, unwritten rules, handling problems, desired behaviors, and much more.

A comprehensive concept and tool for holistic onboarding fill this gap and enable new colleagues to integrate optimally. Alongside a central software platform, methods such as short internal videos, timed push notifications, quizzes, context-specific messages, chatbots, and offline elements like values workshops or onboarding rituals (such as baking a cake representing the core values of the new company) can be employed.

Therefore, in addition to thorough research, a robust, holistic concept must be developed, which is then implemented and consolidated within a web application. This application can be functionally expanded to incorporate various concepts and strengthened through gamification elements.
