Congratulations on passing your final exam—a very special milestone for you! We’d like to celebrate your successful graduation with you and your loved ones at the commencement ceremony at Kongress am Park.
Registration
Please note that you can only register if you have received a written invitation from the Office of Student Affairs.
Please register in a timely manner while your student ID number for your bachelor program is still valid. If you plan to transfer to a master program at THA, please register for the graduation ceremony of your previously completed bachelor program beforehand, if possible.
After November 9, we will unfortunately no longer be able to accept registrations for organizational reasons.

Photography and Filming
Photos and/or the video of the graduation ceremony will be published in print materials from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg (THA), on the Internet, and on THA’s social media channels. By submitting your binding registration for the event, you are giving us your consent to this.
If you sign up for the THA alumni network after the certificate ceremony, you’ll receive the photos a few weeks after the event.

FAQ: Everything You Need to Know Before the Diploma Ceremony
You can register for the award ceremony as soon as you receive written notification from Department III, Student Affairs.
You will receive the invitation automatically once you have completed your studies and all your information has been processed by Division III, Student Affairs. If you have any questions, please contact the Division of Student Affairs.

No, unfortunately that's not possible.
Please note that only the degree certificate will be presented at the commencement ceremony. You will receive all other graduation documents (such as your transcript) from the Office of Academic Examinations. You will be notified as soon as they are available.

FAQs About the Event Day

The Kongress am Park will open half an hour before the event begins, at 5:30 p.m.
All graduates should have the opportunity to bring their loved ones to the event. Therefore, admission is limited to a maximum of 3 people per graduate.
Yes, children are, of course, welcome. Children up to age 3 do not need their own seat.

We recommend using public transportation to get there.
We recommend formal attire, as this is the closing ceremony for your degree program. Please keep this in mind when choosing what to wear.
Please check your jackets and coats at the coat check. They may not be brought into the auditorium.
Please be aware that the certificate presentation ceremony may last up to three hours.
Yes, if necessary. We reserve the right to check for a valid form of identification upon entry.
Yes, we reserve the right to inspect bags at the event venue.
The degree programs—and all graduates—will be called to the stage one after another, grouped by faculty and degree program. Please check the on-site notices to select a seat appropriate for your group. Please follow the instructions of the organizing teams to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for everyone involved.
Yes, until the official part of the event in the auditorium is over. Please join us in celebrating all the graduates with equal appreciation. There will also be a big group photo on stage at the end of the ceremony—you won't want to miss that.
We do not provide gowns for all graduates. However, after the official part of the event, you can borrow a gown in the foyer and have your picture taken wearing it.
There is no free catering or beverages.
However, you can purchase drinks and light snacks at the Kongress am Park. Please do not bring drinks into the main hall.
