Hours of Operation

Please note that the university buildings have different opening hours, which also depend on whether it is the lecture period or the semester break.

Building Hours

The university's main entrances are open as follows:

During the lecture period

Buildings
A–H: Monday–Friday, 6:15 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.

closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Buildings KLM, J, and W: 

Monday–Friday, 6:15 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. 

During the non-lecture period

All buildings
Monday–Thursday 6:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday 6:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. 

Outside these hours, you may only enter and exit the university with a valid Campus Card or a valid key.

For scheduled events, the exterior door of the respective building will be kept open for the duration of the event.

Special Authorization

Authorized individuals may enter the buildings at any time using their electronic key or their activated Augsburg Campus Card. When opening a locked door, please ensure that it is properly locked again. The door will then lock automatically. If the door remains open for more than one minute, this will result in a charge for the locksmith service.
