Spirit of Engineering

Understanding and exploring the world, changing and shaping it—that is what drives engineers. We train them.

Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering

Education, research, and development are our core areas of activity. Through exciting degree programs and groundbreaking research and industry projects, we are working on the technologies of the future.

The degree programs are closely linked to real-world practice and future professional life, providing our graduates with an excellent foundation for their future careers.

Study

Our degree programs cover a cohesive range of engineering specializations. Study mechanical engineering, manufacturing, emergency engineering, technology management, or environmental and process engineering—from the bachelor’s degree through the master’s to the doctorate.

Environmental and Process Engineering (B.Eng.)

In the bachelor program in Environmental and Process Engineering, you will learn to apply your technical expertise responsibly and develop concrete solutions for a sustainable world.

Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.)

In the bachelor program in Mechanical Engineering, you'll turn your ideas for tomorrow's world into reality. Design, plan, optimize, and transform your visions into innovative technology.

Rescue Engineering (B.Eng.)

The latest and most effective technologies, concepts, and methods for rescuing and protecting people and critical infrastructure—that’s what you’ll learn in the Rescue Engineering program.

Environmental and Process Engineering (M.Eng.)

Expand your knowledge in the master program in Environmental and Process Engineering and combine technical expertise with sustainable concepts to develop innovative solutions for the future.

Mechanical Engineering (M.Eng.)

In the master program in Mechanical Engineering at THA, you will expand and refine your knowledge and skills in the design, construction, and simulation of technical systems.

Production Engineering(M.Eng.)

From concept to mass production. Production Engineering teaches you how ideas are transformed into efficient manufacturing processes for high-volume production.

Technology Management (M.Eng.)

Technology, Management, and Interpersonal Skills: The part-time Master’s in Technology Management combines interdisciplinary knowledge with a practical focus and direct application in the workplace.

There are various paths to a doctoral degree. For example, students can pursue a collaborative doctoral program or a joint doctoral program with BayWISS. In addition, we have two doctoral centers that also offer direct admission to doctoral programs in the field of engineering:

More information on the individual models and options can be found on the Graduate School’s website.
