Thinking Outside the Box
A college education offers far more than just specialized knowledge. The general education elective courses (AWP) give students the opportunity to look beyond the boundaries of their own degree program: They foster critical thinking, social judgment and a sense of responsibility, communication and intercultural skills, as well as creativity—skills that are just as essential in professional life as they are for personal development.
The AWP program is offered by the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences—including the Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication (ZSI)—to students in all faculties and degree programs at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg. It complements the specialized coursework offered in the degree programs and covers a broad spectrum of topics: from psychology, social skills, communication, and languages, to ethics, philosophy, politics, art, and culture, as well as the natural sciences, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
