Academic Excellence Division

Prof. Dr. habil. Eva Lermer-Spitzweg will continue to lead the Academic Excellence division during her second term as Vice President, beginning in October 2026. This builds on the successful development of the DigiTech and NITRO doctoral centers as well as the THA Graduate School, and places a focus on early-career researchers, particularly in the area of doctoral studies. The goal is to strengthen academic excellence at the university over the long term, attract outstanding talent and retain it at THA, further develop doctoral programs, and expand international academic networks.
