Entrepreneurial Spirit in the Classroom

Maria Ward High School
Clear the stage for the kick-off event with the Funkenwerk at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences!
Last Wednesday, the 9th-grade classes at the Maria Ward High School’s Economics Track (WWG) got an inspiring introduction to the world of startups!
Prof. Zimmermann from Augsburg University of Applied Sciences provided fascinating insights into entrepreneurship and startups, accompanied by Timo Hahn, who will be coaching our students over the coming weeks as they develop their own business ideas.
A special highlight: Patricia Urbas, representing her team, gave a live pitch and demonstrated how an idea can become a real startup. Her company, INA, is developing a digital application that promotes inclusion in cities. The accessible web app helps people with disabilities participate independently in social life in Augsburg.
Our students asked many curious questions—a sign that the startup fever has been ignited!
We’re looking forward to the coming weeks full of creative ideas!
