TestDaF in Augsburg – Prove Your German for Your Studies

Would you like to study in Germany and need to prove your German language skills? The TestDaF exam allows you to demonstrate your German proficiency as part of your university application.

The TestDaF Exam Center for Bavarian Swabia at the Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication (ZSI) at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences offers TestDaF exams several times a year.

TestDaF is a standardized German language exam for international applicants and anyone who needs officially recognized proof of their German proficiency. The exam assesses all four key language skills and is recognized by universities across Germany.

October 15, 2026 - paper-based test

November 12, 2026 – digital test

Registration for the TestDaF exam is done online through the TestDaF Institute. The exam fee is 210 € and is paid directly upon registration. Register about two months before your desired exam date.

After you register for the exam, you’ll find a second free practice test in the participant portal to help you prepare for the digital TestDaF.

Not sure about your German level yet? onSET-Deutsch is for you!

With onSET-Deutsch, you can quickly assess your current level of German online. The placement test measures German proficiency from A2 to C1. Your results can help you find the right language course or determine whether you are ready to take the TestDaF. An onSET result may also be required when applying for certain DAAD scholarships.
