Further training opportunities at THA:

The library and the Didactics and Media Center (DMZ) at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg offer a wide range of target group-specific training and consulting services for students and researchers. Our doctoral candidates are also very welcome to take advantage of these services.

Use of AWP offerings:

Doctoral students at THA have the opportunity to take advantage of the university's exciting AWP offerings.

Other freely available continuing education services:

Doctoral candidates at the THA receive additional information about interesting free continuing education offerings via a Moodle course.

The Graduate School also offers personal coaching, e.g. on giving presentations at English-language conferences or on managing employees. The coaching program is primarily available to internal and external employees of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences (AWP courses) and the Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication.

During the lunchtime brown bag meetings, doctoral candidates can exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere – this is particularly beneficial for doctoral candidates from faculties with a small number of doctoral candidates.

In addition to providing an opportunity for exchange, the brown bag meeting offers doctoral candidates a platform for activities such as rehearsing presentations before conferences.

Furthermore, external speakers are regularly invited to give presentations on various topics relevant to doctoral studies.

The brown bag meetings are held every two months.
