Shaping the future—together.
The Circular Textiles (CirTex) innovation community is an open platform for anyone who wants to help shape the circular textile economy of the future. Whether you’re from the worlds of academia, business, politics, or civil society—or simply an interested individual—everyone is invited to join the community.

CirTex as an open network
Participation is as flexible as the community itself. It ranges from actively contributing to projects and participating in workshops to sharing your own ideas—or simply listening and staying informed. Even those who prefer to be passive members of the community are warmly welcome. The community is open to anyone interested.
The goal is to work together to develop innovative solutions, share knowledge, and take concrete steps toward a circular textile economy in Germany.
Currently, more than 300 companies, associations, universities, organizations, and private individuals are already members of the community.

To all community members:
The CirTex team regularly hosts online workshops. Anyone interested who has initial ideas for research or knowledge transfer projects can present their concepts here, which are then further developed together with the participating community members. This allows you to contribute to new projects without having to make a binding commitment. No prior knowledge is required. About 30 to 40 participants meet for each workshop; after registering, you’ll receive invitations via email.
At least once a year, the CirTex team also organizes a community meeting: Here, members work together with the teams from the community projects to tackle challenges, network, and discuss the future of the textile industry. Some of the ideas that emerge here may later be eligible for funding.
For funded project teams:
In addition, the CirTex team offers formats such as an online get-together or in-person meetings to identify and leverage synergies among CirTex projects.
Furthermore, CirTex is represented at external events and trade shows, providing members and project teams with an additional platform.
