CirTex: Working Together for a Circular Textile Economy.

The CirTex innovation community is dedicated to nationwide collaboration for the future of the textile industry—bringing together key stakeholders from business, academia, civil society, and politics.

Circular Textiles Innovation Community

Welcome to CirTex!

CirTex is one of 20 innovation communities in the DATIpilot funding program of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR). Through the end of 2028, CirTex will fund approximately 20 projects aimed at advancing a circular textile economy—ranging from novel materials to sustainable business models and innovative educational concepts.

But CirTex is more than just financial support: CirTex is also an open community where you can get involved regardless of whether you receive funding—whether you’re from industry, academia, politics, civil society, or simply an interested citizen.
