Contact Ms. Kathrin Springinklee Hacking Challenge The popular IT security event organized by THA_innos, the Institute for Innovative Security at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, kicks off every February and invites students from all over Bavaria to solve virtual IT puzzles and explore the topic of IT security in a fun and engaging way. Students of all grade levels and school types are eligible to participate, and there is no cost to join. An interest in computer science and a willingness to tackle puzzles are key requirements. Contact: Stephanie Beer Hacking Challenge The popular IT security event organized by THA_innos, the Institute for Innovative Security at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, kicks off every February and invites students from all over Bavaria to solve virtual IT puzzles and, in this way, engage with the topic of IT security in a fun and interactive way. Students of all grade levels and school types are eligible to participate, and there is no cost to join. An interest in computer science and a willingness to tackle puzzles are key requirements. Essentially, the goal is to really dig into the challenges and discover just how much fun IT security topics can be. Small groups and extracurricular clubs can also participate. Youth Researches The University of Applied Sciences regularly supports the Augsburg regional round of the nationwide “Jugend forscht” competition as a sponsoring institution. We invite your students to participate and help connect their research projects to real-world scientific practice. For many years, the university and the Department of Electrical Engineering have supported the Bavarian regional competition “SolarMobil-Augsburg.” The competition is organized primarily by the Jakob-Fugger-Gymnasium—our partner school—and carried out in collaboration with other partners. In various material categories, students of different ages and from different school levels—ranging from elementary school to upper secondary school—compete against one another in this contest.
