Coordinator for People with Disabilities

The Disability Coordinator at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg supports students with disabilities, for example, with applications for hardship and disadvantage compensation, during the admissions process, and with requests for a leave of absence or for an extension of the exam deadline or maximum duration of study.

Central Student Advising Office

The Central Student Advising Office provides information, guidance, and support to students at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, prospective students, and the family members of both students and prospective students.

Our counseling aims to help you clarify your specific concerns, work together to develop viable solutions, and guide you through the process of implementing those solutions.

During psychosocial counseling, you can discuss your current life and academic situation, develop possible solutions to any difficulties or stressors you may be facing, and, if needed, receive information about additional support services.

Psychosocial Counseling at the Central Student Counseling Office

During the initial consultation, we’ll discuss your concerns, your counseling goals, and the next steps. If needed, we’ll refer you to our external psychosocial counselor for further counseling or provide information about additional support, counseling, and therapy services. 

External Psychosocial Counselor at the Central Student Counseling Office

Following an initial consultation at the Central Student Counseling Office, you have the option of receiving further psychosocial counseling from Stefan Becker. He is a trained psychosocial counselor, systemic coach/supervisor, and health counselor. Mr. Becker has been working for many years as an external psychosocial counselor for Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, focusing on solution-focused brief counseling.

Academic advisors for the individual degree programs

The academic advisors for the individual degree programs are generally also faculty members in your program and are therefore your points of contact if you have program-specific questions or if your current situation requires personalized planning of your academic path.

They can also advise you on applying for accommodations during exams, taking a leave of absence, or extending exam deadlines or the maximum duration of study.
