Research at the Faculty of Computer Science

The Faculty of Computer Science at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg is a research-intensive faculty with numerous projects and industry partnerships, ongoing doctoral studies, and high-impact publications. The faculty’s professors focus on four main areas of research: Autonomous Systems and Physical AI; Secure, Trustworthy Products and Networked Systems; Human-Centered and Trustworthy Software and AI; and Digital and AI-Driven Transformation in Business, Society, and Healthcare. In the faculty’s research groups, professors collaborate with their research assistants, doctoral candidates, and master’s students. A wide range of specialized laboratories involves students in innovative research projects of all sizes.

The faculty is prominently represented in the DigiTech Doctoral Center, thereby offering early-career researchers a structured environment for their doctoral studies.
