The part-time certificate program in IT Project and Process Management places great emphasis on transferring the knowledge gained in the course to students’ own companies. For this reason, approximately 70 percent of the coursework consists of academic projects that focus on applying what students have learned to current projects and challenges within their companies. This enables students to put a significant portion of their academic efforts to profitable use in their day-to-day work and allows the participating companies to actively benefit from the program even while students are still enrolled. The cohort consists of students enrolled in both the certificate program and the part-time master program of the same name.

» Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The weekend seminars are held on the “Am Roten Tor” campus of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg. The introductory seminar at the start of the program usually takes place off-campus, at the Vöhlinschloss University Center in Illertissen. You can attend online coaching sessions from anywhere as long as you have a stable internet connection.

¹The master’s thesis begins in the fourth semester and can be completed—depending on individual progress—either in the fourth semester or, if necessary, in the fifth semester.

The following requirements apply for admission to the Master’s program in IT Project and Process Management:

  • a university degree with 210 ECTS credits in another field (e.g., business administration) combined with at least one year of professional experience in the IT field
  • a university degree with at least 180 ECTS; proof of the remaining 30 ECTS must be provided within one year of the start of the program (retroactive qualification). In this case, for example, several years of professional experience may be recognized toward the missing ECTS. Alternatively, the missing ECTS credits can be made up virtually at no cost during the master’s program.

In addition, participation in an admissions interview is required.

Applications must be submitted exclusively by email to it-pm(at)tha.de. Please submit the following documents:

You can find all necessary forms (e.g., application materials and the questionnaire) in the detailed program information, which you can easily request at any time via our contact form.

The application deadline is June 30 each year!

The number of available spots is limited to 25 students per cohort (combined for the certificate program and the master program). If more applications are received, the university will conduct a selection process. If applicants have the same qualifications, the date the application is received will be the deciding factor. Early application is therefore recommended.

The admissions interview is designed to help us determine together whether the Master’s in IT Project and Process Management aligns with your expectations and goals. At the same time, it gives us an idea of your motivation and your professional experience to date.

To prepare, you can ask yourself the following questions:

  • What has my career path been like so far, and what specialized knowledge do I bring to the table?
  • What career goals do I hope to achieve in the future?
  • What are my expectations for the program, and why do I want to study while working?
  • Can I set aside enough time to complete my studies alongside my job?
  • Do I have the necessary time to balance my studies, career, and personal life?

You, the program director, and the program coordinator will participate in the meeting. It usually lasts about 30 minutes. You’ll receive feedback on the outcome immediately afterward.
