Course Content
Business Administration is the degree program for anyone interested in future-oriented business administration, who wants to focus on a specific area of specialization during their studies, and who intends to take on entrepreneurial responsibilities.
The “Business Administration” bachelor program is specifically designed to address the structure of the region’s small- and medium-sized enterprises and their needs, and it provides optimal preparation for the demands of the job market. Language courses and international aspects of business management functions are just as much a part of the program as a select range of required-elective courses on current business issues or industry-specific topics. In addition to acquiring specialized knowledge, students practice the independent application of scientific methods through small-group work, projects, and seminars, while taking into account and weighing economic, legal, social, and societal conditions and objectives. Through the program tracks, students can specialize in a specific subject area or position themselves broadly for the job market as generalists.
The future-oriented competencies of internationality, sustainability, and digitalization are integrated into the curriculum.

"Language Proficiency in Business" Certificate
Students in the bachelor program in Business Administration have the opportunity to earn the “Language Competence in Business” certificate, which is offered concurrently with their degree program at the School of Business. The certificate program provides in-depth language and communication skills for the international business sector:
- Advanced proficiency in Business English
- Language proficiency in at least one additional foreign language
- The ability to write professionally relevant texts
- Advanced oral communication skills in an international context
- Intercultural competencies for global business situations
To earn the certificate, the modules “Rhetoric and Key Competencies” (5 CP), “Business English II” (10 CP), and foreign language courses at level A2 or higher (10 CP) are required. To be awarded the certificate, students must earn at least 25 credit points (CP) from the modules listed above. All proof of completion must be submitted no later than upon graduation.
The certificate lists all successfully completed modules—including those that exceed the required minimum. The certificate is issued by the School of Business upon request and after submission of the corresponding examination records. No overall grade is calculated.
