Printing & Plotting
The Data Center provides printers and plotters for members of the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. There is a fee for their use, which is billed through PaperCut.

Data Center Printers & Plotters
In room H3.03, equipment for printing and plotting in various formats is available.

Pickup and Hours of Operation
Plots and printouts can be picked up in room H3.03. The room is located in the H Building, 2nd floor, across from the service office, and can be reached via the north stairwell or the elevator.
Important:
Please allow for wait times! A plot printout takes at least 5 minutes. Before submission deadlines, it may take significantly longer due to high demand.
A freely accessible cutting machine is located in the northern hallway on the 2nd floor across from Room H3.03.

Printing Costs
Please check all settings carefully before printing or plotting. There is a charge for every job, even if the printout is unusable due to incorrect settings.

Print Cost Reporting with PaperCut
PaperCut is the billing system for printing and plotting costs. Each person with a valid RZ ID has their own print account.
The print account can be topped up by transferring funds from the Augsburg Campus Card.
Important before printing:
Every print or plot job incurs a charge. This applies even if the printout is unusable due to incorrect settings.
Where is PaperCut used?
Print and plot jobs from the following facilities are billed through PaperCut:
- Library, for example, the reading room and color prints
- Computer Center, plotters, and copiers in H3.03
- Faculty of Design, Typesetting and Printing Workshop
- Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, plotter room C4.12
- Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering, for project work
How does PaperCut work?
If you would like to use printing services, please add funds to your PaperCut printing account first. When you submit a print job, a message regarding the estimated cost will typically appear, which you must confirm.
- Log in with a valid RZ ID
- Top up your print account with Campus Card credit
- Costs are automatically deducted from your print account
- Rates are visible in the PaperCut account view
Top Up Your Printing Account
The card is reloaded at prepaid card reload stations using the balance on the Campus Card.
