Email Migration from Sogo to Outlook Online

! IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE ! 

It is not possible to migrate emails directly from Sogo to Outlook Online; therefore, you must perform the migration using a desktop application such as Outlook (new) or Thunderbird.

Exporting from Sogo

1. Log in to Sogo 

• You can still log in to Sogo even after the transition.

2. Click the three dots next to your folders and select “Export” from the menu. 

A .zip file containing the folder you exported will be created and downloaded. 

The .zip file should then be located in your Downloads folder.

You must export each folder individually. During the export process, only the emails contained in the folder are downloaded. No subfolders are included in the export.

If you have trouble extracting the .zip file, use a different archiving program, such as the open-source program 7-Zip.

Import via Outlook New (Desktop App)

Note for Mac users:

On a Mac, the "import" function isn’t supported directly; instead, you’ll need to use drag-and-drop. 

You must have the emails in the "Finder" (unzipped) and then drag and drop them into the Outlook window. 

Import via Thunderbird

1. Unzip the downloaded .zip file

2. Open the extracted folder and select all the emails it contains (Ctrl + A)

3. Drag the selected emails into the desired Outlook folder.
