TraCe – Strengthening the Transfer of CirTex Projects

Grant Period: July 1, 2026–December 31, 2027

Project Description

Background

The CirTex innovation community develops solutions for a circular textile economy. To ensure that these solutions actually have an impact beyond the duration of the respective projects, suitable transfer pathways, appropriate formats, and an understanding of how research findings can be translated into concrete applications, policy initiatives, societal debates, and new collaborations are needed.

Project Goals

The project team supports CirTex projects in effectively transferring their research findings to business, politics, academia, and society. As the “Transfer Meta-Project,” it assists individual projects in developing appropriate transfer strategies, strengthens collaboration among them, and identifies and leverages synergies within the community.

Approach

To this end, the project team first assesses the transfer needs, existing expertise, and planned transfer activities of the CirTex projects. Building on this, it develops support services that help the respective project teams refine their transfer strategies, better address their target audiences, and consider sustainability at an early stage. Methodologically, TraCe draws primarily on the social sciences and follows a participatory approach; with a particular focus on the Quadruple Helix approach, which brings together academia, business, politics, and society as key stakeholder groups in innovation processes. This results in transferable methods, formats, and tools that may also be relevant for other projects and innovation communities in the field of circular transformation.
