Since 2011, the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg (THA) has been collaborating with the Fritz-Felsenstein-Haus in Königsbrunn. As part of a service-learning program, students in electrical engineering and mechatronics develop innovative technical solutions for people with disabilities. Together, they create practical assistive systems and devices that promote independence, participation, and quality of life in everyday situations. In doing so, students combine their technical expertise with specific societal needs. From the initial idea through design to the prototype, solutions are developed in close collaboration with the users. The partnership brings together teaching, practical experience, and social responsibility.
