About the Lab
The HAII Lab (Human-AI Interaction Lab) conducts research on the interaction between humans and AI systems, with a focus on natural language processing (NLP), neurosymbolic AI, and multimodality. The lab serves as the workspace for the THA_atlas research group, which addresses research topics such as multimodal QA systems and AI-powered voice assistants for industry and education. Through practice-oriented instruction (projects and theses), students develop their own voice assistants and learn how people interact with technologies through language. This involves the use of modern hardware and software systems, including GPUs for training models, eye-tracking devices, and VR and AR headsets, which are utilized in both research and teaching. Our goal is to make AI accessible, understandable, and beneficial for everyone.

Students work independently on applications and develop their own voice assistants and AI-powered prototypes for various areas of application.
