What can the Augsburg Campus Card do?
The Augsburg Campus Card is the official student ID card of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg and serves as a multifunctional smart card. It combines various functions in a single card:

- Semester pass for the AVV and avg
- Library card
- Payment function, e.g., for the student dining hall and cafeteria
- Copying function on campus
- Access card for selected areas of the university
Get a Campus Card
After enrollment, your Campus Card will generally be mailed to you shortly before the start of the semester. The first card is issued free of charge. If no suitable photo is available, a silhouette will be printed on the card.
Please check the printed information for accuracy upon receipt. Report any errors to rzservice(at)tha.de. You can view your personal information and photo in the IDM portal.
Use of the Campus Card ends upon withdrawal from the university. You may keep the card, but you may no longer use it as a student ID.
Validate
The Campus Card must be validated before its first use and after each successful check-in. During this process, the current validity period is printed on the card and stored in the chip.
Important:
Without a valid validation, the Campus Card is not valid as a semester pass.
When can you validate it?
Re-validation is generally possible about seven days before the start of the semester, as soon as your re-registration has been successfully recorded in the system.
- Winter semester: usually starting September 24
- Summer semester: usually starting March 8.
