Lockers
If you'd rather not carry bags, jackets, or similar items around with you while you're at the library, you can use one of the lockers on the ground floor of the library.
Usage
The compartments have the following dimensions: 36 x 48 x 46 cm (width x height x depth).
You will need a 1€ coin (deposit).
Please do not use shopping tokens (neither plastic nor metal), as these tokens can get stuck in the lock.
Please do not store perishable or strong-smelling items in the lockers.
The short-term lockers must be emptied daily before the library closes.
Lockers policy
- By using the lockers, you agree to abide by the rules listed on this page and the locker policy posted in the library’s entrance area.
- Lockers occupied longer than permitted will be cleared by library staff. The contents of the locker may then be picked up by the user at the library within one month upon return of the key. Perishable items will be disposed of immediately. After the one-month period, the lost items will be turned over to the THA’s lost and found office, from where they will be forwarded to the City of Augsburg’s lost and found office.
- Library staff are also authorized to open lockers at any time if there is reason to believe that a user is violating the locker regulations.
Liability
- The user is liable for any damage caused by the user—for example, due to improper operation—or by the items stored there.
- The user must immediately clean up any messes caused by use.
- Misuse or intentional damage will be prosecuted.
- The library is not liable for the loss or damage of items stored in the lockers. It is therefore recommended that you do not store valuables in the lockers.
