Dual Degree Programs and Corporate Partnerships

Whether it’s a combined degree program (a degree program that includes vocational training) or a degree program with an in-depth practical component (involving intensive practical phases during the lecture-free period and the practical study semester), our academic offerings provide students with the opportunity to pursue a dual degree or a work-integrated degree program. On our website, both prospective students and companies can find further information about dual study programs. Companies can also learn about additional collaboration opportunities, such as the possibility of guest lectures or field trips, as well as listing internship positions or thesis projects in our job board.

International

Internationally connected—regionally rooted: Technology is global, and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering maintains a strong international network of partner universities and collaborative partnerships. Whether it’s a semester abroad, international project work, or an internship abroad: On the International Office’s website, you can find out which partner universities are available, how a semester abroad works, and what opportunities are generally open to you. We also warmly welcome international students who would like to join us in Augsburg for a semester or their entire degree program. We create an academic environment that thrives on the exchange of diverse perspectives and cultures and offers valuable intercultural experiences.

Research at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering

Research and Laboratories

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering focuses on application-oriented research and the practice-oriented training of engineers. To this end, the faculty has a large number of modern, well-equipped laboratories at its disposal. We conduct research to ensure our teaching reflects the latest state-of-the-art technology, to support academic advancement through doctoral programs, and to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology. In doing so, we address future-oriented topics at the intersection of people and technology: from autonomous driving to the production of the future—utilizing (collaborative) robotics and artificial intelligence—through the energy transition and communication, all the way to the healthcare sector.
