International Management and Engineering (B.Eng.)
Course Content
Several modules are offered exclusively in English, and a second foreign language is required. The program provides a balanced mix of language, methodological, leadership, and intercultural skills. During the orientation phase, you will learn technical and business fundamentals such as electrical engineering, mathematics, mechanics, and materials physics, as well as industrial management and controlling. You will then expand your knowledge in electrical power engineering, automation technology, computer science, production and logistics, cost and performance accounting, as well as human resources management and organization. After the internship semester at an industrial company, you can choose between the two specialization modules, Business and Technology, in your final year of study. A number of credits can also be earned abroad. This applies in particular to the practical study semester and the specialization modules in the sixth and seventh semesters.
Career Prospects
The method-oriented, modern education in both engineering and business administration enables graduates to assume positions of responsibility and leadership in globally oriented industries, as well as in professional associations and institutions in academia and public administration. As an industrial engineer, you are more of a generalist than a specialist: This opens up many opportunities for you to work in a wide variety of fields, such as sales, technical procurement, materials management, logistics, product management, project management, technical controlling, or consulting.
International
Augsburg University of Applied Sciences maintains an extensive network of partner universities worldwide. In addition to the opportunity to spend one or two semesters studying abroad, students can also earn a dual degree at a partner university. Approximately 150 incoming and outgoing students each year ensure a vibrant student exchange program. International Week offers a diverse program of lectures featuring guests from our partner universities and opportunities for personal networking. Internationally oriented courses and business English are central components of the curriculum.
