uni-assist.de and the VPD

While other universities handle the entire application process through uni-assist, this institution only verifies your eligibility for university admission on our behalf, which is noted on the Preliminary Documentation Review (VPD). Preliminary Documentation Review (VPD) by uni-assist

All degree seekers who earned their degree abroad must have their high school diplomas and university transcripts verified through uni-assist.

uni-assist is an external institution that verifies your eligibility for university admission (HZB) on our behalf.

Important: It is not enough to simply submit your documents through uni-assist. All application materials (including the VPD) must be submitted through our application portal.

Procedure:

  1. Search for “Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg” in the search bar.
  2. It doesn’t matter if the previous semester is still listed in the search portal. The VPD is valid for one year. Therefore, it doesn’t matter if, for example, you apply for the VPD for a summer semester but are applying for the winter semester.
  3. Click “Search” and select “All Programs – Bachelor’s” if you wish to apply for a bachelor program, or “All Programs – Master’s” if you are pursuing a master’s degree.
  4. Register.
  5. Upload all your certificates and transcripts (if you have already started a degree program).
  6. Pay the required fee (€75 per semester for the first VPD, €35 for all subsequent ones).

Your documents will then be reviewed. Please note that it may take 4–6 weeks to receive your VPD, so be sure to start the process early.
