The Challenge and Our Solution
Often, many international students are unable to find a suitable job after graduation.
They often don’t know how the university can continue to support them and, as a result, miss out on valuable opportunities.
At the same time, companies are looking for skilled employees, but integrating international graduates is often difficult:
- insufficient staff resources
- limited knowledge of immigration law
- a lack of intercultural competence for individualized support
We are developing a support system that successfully integrates international graduates into the job market:
- Training programs such as specialized language courses for alumni
- Counseling and job application training during the final phase of studies
(e.g., with the Augsburg Schwaben Vocational Training Center) - Assistance with residency and financial matters
- Coordination office for employers on integration and legal issues
- Information on continuing education programs at the university (e.g., doctoral programs)
