The Berlin-based firm Peter Grundmann Architektur is one of the leading voices in a school of architecture that focuses on the transformation, adaptation, and further development of existing structures. The expansion of the ZK/U Center for Art and Urbanism in Berlin recently garnered significant attention; for this project, Peter Grundmann Architektur was awarded the 2026 DAM Prize. The jury particularly commended the innovative approach to repurposing a former warehouse and the creation of an open and flexible public space.
