Solution & Product Description HIMMA is developing an AI-powered software platform that supports architectural firms and specialist planners—such as energy consultants—in conducting energy-efficient building analyses and life cycle assessments (LCA). The core problem is time: Manual, fragmented planning processes—from comparing design alternatives to performing LCA calculations and identifying suitable funding programs—slow down every process today and make it difficult to make clear decisions in the early planning phase. More time directly translates to higher costs—a structural problem that holds back the entire construction industry. HIMMA solves this with an integrated AI workflow that intelligently processes building data, automatically checks certification requirements (QNG, DGNB), and calculates optimized building variants—including applicable grants—with a single click—applicable for efficient renovation roadmaps as well as new construction planning. Many titles today are developed primarily with the goal of maximizing profits—often at the expense of quality, gameplay, and accessibility. To make microtransactions more profitable, games are artificially stretched out and their content watered down. At the same time, prices for games and hardware are rising. As a result, indie games are gaining relevance: they are often more affordable, more accessible, and more creative. As an indie studio not subject to the same economic pressures as large studios, we see great potential here. Our independence allows us to consciously take creative risks and develop games that are both affordable and stand out for their quality and gameplay experience. Vision and Future Plans The indie game industry in Germany, in particular, is still relatively small and offers only limited opportunities. The problem is structural. Germany’s 3.4 million small businesses pay up to 3% in fees per transaction and thousands of euros for hardware before a single payment is processed. More than half of all point-of-sale payments in Germany are still made in cash, mainly because accepting cards is simply too expensive for small merchants. YGY completely eliminates these costs. Payments are made via a dynamic QR code or NFC from smartphone to smartphone and settled immediately via SEPA. Merchants pay zero transaction fees, receive same-day payouts, and get a complete software point-of-sale system with a product catalog, shift reports, and a GoBD-compliant cash register ledger with DATEV export—all in one app. For consumers, ZYSYGY goes even further. Reading room—quiet study surrounded by books In the reading room, you’ll be working right among the more than 48,000 freely accessible items that can be checked out. Right next door is the children’s nonfiction corner with 3 cube-shaped seats for our youngest visitors. Comfort while studying and working For use in the reading room and group study rooms, seat cushions are available next to the library counter to make sitting in our chairs for extended periods even more comfortable.Fleece blankets are also available for the colder months.Please return the cushions and blankets to the cart after use. For ergonomic working, you can also borrow a standing desk or a balance seat cushion from the Aktivithek. Bookeye book scanner The two Bookeye scanners are particularly well-suited for books and magazines. The Bookeye 5 scanner is located in the counter area. The Bookeye 4 scanner is located in the copy room (H 2.04). Scans (up to DIN A2) can be saved as PDF, JPG, or TIFF files. You can save them to a USB flash drive or, with the Bookeye 5, to a smartphone or tablet. Instructions are posted directly on the device. Scansnap document scanner Large documents (up to 50 loose, unstapled/unbound sheets up to DIN A4 size) can be quickly saved as PDFs using the ScanSnap iX500 document scanner on a PC at the service counter or via an app on your own mobile device (Android; iOS). Text recognition is also available with this scanner. You’ll find the document scanner in the counter area, to the right of the passageway leading to the magazine reading corner. Flatbed scanner A flatbed scanner is available in the copy room (H 2.04) for documents up to DIN A3 size. Instructions: Scanning with the ScanScnap document scanner Scanning on a PC Ask the library staff at PC2 in the circulation desk area to log you in.Open the ScanSnap lid to turn on the scannerPlace the documents to be scanned face down and upside down in the scanner (if necessary, unfold the document guides at the feed tray and output tray, and adjust the page guides; please remove any staples or similar items).Press the scan button (blue) on the scanner.Wait until all pages have been scanned (progress is also displayed on the PC). Scan and Save Options Scan to Folder: Select any folder on the PC (e.g., your RZ user directory) — the scan will be saved as a PDFScan to Email: Not available (no email software installed)Scan to Print: Print the scan directly (fee applies: PaperCut!)Scan to Mobile: The scan is transferred to your mobile device via Wi-Fi and an appScan to Google Docs: Google account required (after entering your Googlelogin credentials, the scan is uploaded to Google Drive) (PDF includes OCR text recognition!)Scan to Salesforce Chatter: Salesforce account requiredScan to Pictures Folder: Saves scans to any folder (default: My Documents\Pictures) (JPG)ABBYY Scan to PowerPoint: Scan as a .ppt file, including recognition of image and text sections(default location: My Documents\Pictures)ABBYY Scan to Excel: Scans as .xlsx, including recognition of text, columns, and rows(default save location: My Documents\Pictures)ABBYY Scan to Word: Scan as .docx, including text recognition (default location: MyDocuments\Pictures) Additional scan options (e.g., text recognition on/off) are available when you hover over the scan mode icon (-> gear) Scan to Mobile If you want to use the Scan to Mobile feature, you must first set it up on your PC and then on your mobile device: *Confirm the information window by clicking OK*Set a password to link the scanner to your mobile device (please use the default password 2724)*Confirm the Windows security alert with OK*Download the “ScanSnap” app to your mobile device (iOS / Android)Connect your mobile device to the “Bookeye” Wi-Fi network (no Wi-Fi password required; if the connection fails, turn the Bookeye scanner off and then back on)Launch the appWait until the connection is established*Enter the password (see step 2)*Place the document back into the ScanSnapTap “Scan” (in the app or directly on the scanner)The scan will be transferred to your mobile device. Once you’ve completed the steps marked with *, you won’t need to repeat them for future scans. You also won’t need to log in on your PC anymore.
