How do I register for my classes? Where can I find the class schedules? How do I register for the exams? What grading system is used at THA? When is the exam period? How do I know where my exams will be held? When will I find out my exam results? When will I receive my transcript of records? What do I need to do before I go home? The following is a list of the most important dates for the 2026 summer semester. The following is a list of the most important dates for the 2026/27 winter semester. You can take business courses in English at the bachelor's or master's level. You can also choose from a wide range of electives offered university-wide. If you can demonstrate that you have at least a B2 level, you can also choose courses taught in German. Course registration takes place via our online learning platform, Moodle. That is also where most of your communication with your instructors will take place, and where course materials will be made available. You can view the class schedules online on Webuntis. Exam registration takes place with Ms. Wetzel. The date for this will be communicated to exchange students well in advance. It is important to register for the correct exams within the specified time frame; otherwise, you will not be able to take the exams. Grades are assigned as follows: 1.0/1.3 = A (Excellent) — Outstanding performance with only minor errors 1.7/2.0 = B (Very Good) – Above average, but with some errors 2.3/2.7 = C (Good) – Generally solid work with a number of notable errors. 3.0/3.3 = D (Satisfactory) – Fair, but with significant shortcomings 3.7/4.0 = E (Sufficient) – Performance meets the minimum requirements 5.0 = F (Fail) The exact dates of the exams at the School of Business can be found in the Academic Calendar. The exam rooms and times will be posted well in advance in the Moodle course “1. Program Information” under “School of Business.” The exact date when exam results will be announced can be found in the Academic Calendar. Grades can then be viewed in the “HIS Exam Management” portal. The transcript of records can be printed via the “HIS Exam Administration” portal after grades are released. It is important that you meet with the International Coordinators at the School of Business and the International Office to complete any additional formalities, if necessary. In addition to books, we also offer academic journals, newspapers, DVDs, CDs, e-books, e-journals, and specialized databases on the topics listed above. Curious? You can get an overview of the library by taking a virtual tour on our YouTube channel. In addition to the library tour, you’ll find many other informative videos there about using the university library. As a guest, you can access the databases licensed by the library using a computer in the library. To do so, please check in at the library desk. Duration of the event: approx. 30 minutes A traditional introduction to the library meets Gamification We’ll start with a short tour (about 15 minutes) of the facilities and then head to the training room for the theoretical introduction (about 30 minutes, depending on the desired scope). Practical experience instead of just boring theory Your students will be placed in the role of actual employees at a company and will be asked to create a presentation for new employees to raise their awareness of a specific topic. To do this, they must draft a concept paper, undertake an authentic research task, extract relevant information, cite it correctly, and provide proper source citations. Based on the topics you cover in your seminars, we’ll conduct this workshop together in several small groups. Participants will learn how to formulate specific questions, identify search terms, use those terms in research tools, and find appropriate sources. In a second step, students must learn to cite sources correctly and provide proper references. With the help of Zotero, they will learn to create a quick yet accurate bibliography. Our computers in the library’s training room will be available for this workshop. Duration of the event: approx. 120 minutesMaximum number of participants: 16 This session can be preceded by a traditional library tour. This can be combined into a single event, or a separate date can be scheduled. WebsiteBachelor programs with admission restrictionsBachelor Programs with Admission Restrictions In bachelor programs with limited enrollment (so-called “NC” programs), the number of applications is expected to exceed the number of available spots. Therefore, the grade point average on your high school diploma is the deciding factor in whether or not you will be offered a spot. Admission to bachelor programs with limited enrollment is handled exclusively through the Dialog-Oriented Service Procedure (DoSV) of the Foundation for University Admissions. Applications can only be submitted online. If you’d like to apply for a spot in a program with limited enrollment for the first academic semester, you must submit your application via www.hochschulstart.de. Applications for higher academic semesters are submitted directly through the THA application portal. If you wish to apply simultaneously for the first semester and a higher semester in a restricted-admission bachelor program, you must first complete the online registration at hochschulstart.de and submit your application for the first semester of the restricted-admission bachelor program through the THA application portal. You can then attach your application for the higher semester to your application in the THA application portal.You can find the contact persons for your application at the THA Student Affairs Office. Your Application: Step by Step Step 1: Register at hochschulstart.de Please register at hochschulstart.de. Multiple registrations are not permitted.Please note that the user account you create during registration must also be used for applications in future admission cycles. Step 2: Activating Your User Account on Hochschulstart After registering, you will immediately receive an email containing an applicant ID (applicant identification number) and information about the BAN (applicant authentication number). You will need both of these to apply via the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg application portal. Step 3: Register with the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg To self-register at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, enter the applicant ID and BAN you received in the previous step into the HISinOne online system, then click “Apply Data” and enter your email address and a corresponding password. Step 4: Email Verification at Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg After registering, you’ll receive an email with a link that you’ll need to use to confirm your email address. Step 5: Applying to the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg Once you have completed the registration process, you can now apply online via the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg application portal.
