What is the DigiTech Doctoral Center?

At the "Digital Technologies and their Application" (DigiTech) doctoral center, doctoral candidates conduct research on the megatrends of digitalization—from processes to products to services—and their use in society, the economy, and the environment. The aim is for young scientists to contribute to solving acute social, economic, and ecological problems through digital technologies in an interdisciplinary manner.

With DigiTech, the THA is represented in a consortium with the leading Deggendorf Institute of Technology and Landshut University of Applied Sciences.

Application

Requirements

Those interested in pursuing a doctorate can apply for admission to the DigiTech Doctoral Center under the following conditions:

  • Fulfilment of the admission requirements (PromO §§ 4 and 5)
  • Submission of all necessary documents (PromO § 6 (1))
  • Doctoral project fits into the subject area "Digital Technologies and Their Application"

The decision on admission to the doctoral center is made by the doctoral committee after the application has been submitted.
